PADI Digital Photographer Specialty

Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever. The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer specialty gets you going quickly with today modern digital equipment, whether you use a point-and-shoot snap camera or a sophisticated D-SLR like the professionals. The marine life on Bali has some great models, so a great place to learn how to use a digital underwater camera.

Duration: 1 day, 2 dives

What are the prerequisites?:

Minimum certification needed: PADI Open Water Diver Certificate (or qualifying certification from another training organization)

Minimum age: 10 years old

Specialty Overview: In this one day specialty, you will learn how to choose the right underwater camera system for you, the PADI SEA method for getting great shots quickly and the three primary principles for good underwater photos.

What You Learn: How to choose the right underwater camera system for you. The PADI SEA method for getting great shots quickly. The three primary principles for good underwater photos. For the practical part you will make 2 dives on one of the beautiful Bali reefs. During the dives you will practice with the use of a digital underwater camera. Afterwards you will review your photos together with your instructor and get some tips on improvements.
 
PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Specialty
The PADI Enriched Air Diver specialty is PADI's most popular specialty scuba diving specialty, and it's easy . Scuba diving with enriched air gives you more no-decompression dive time. This means more time underwater on a certain depth, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

Duration: 1/2 day

What are the prerequisites?:

Minimum certification needed: PADI Open Water Diver Certificate (or qualifying certification from another training organization)

Minimum age: 12 years old 

What you will learn: Techniques for getting more dive time by using enriched air. Nitrox Enriched air scuba diving equipment considerations. Enriched air considerations, including managing oxygen exposure, how to tell what's in your scuba tank and how to set your dive computer.

You have two options for your theoretical part. You can either do it in Bali or you can already do it from home through PADI eLearning. By choosing PADI eLearning you can start with the fun today in your own pace and in your own time. So when you are on holiday, you can focus all your efforts on diving and don't have to do any theory anymore. The specialty itself does not include any dives.


 

PADI Drift Dive Specialty
The PADI Drift Diver Specialty specialty at Bambu Divers introduces you to the coolest magic carpet ride you'll ever experience. This specialty shows you how to enjoy the ocean currents by "going with the flow", staying with your dive partner, communicating with the dive boat and knowing where you are the whole time. Bali offers some great drift dives, so what better place to take your specialty than on Bali?

Duration: 1 day, 2 dives

What are the prerequisites?:

Minimum certification needed: PADI Open Water Diver Certificate (or qualifying certification from another training organization)

Minimum age: 12 years old

Specialty Overview: The specialty consists of both theory and practice. You will study your drift diving manual before the start of the specialty and will make 2 drift dives under the guidance of an instructor. You will soon find out that drift diving is nearly effortless and relaxing. You simply glide along and enjoy the rush of flying underwater while the current does the work. During your PADI Drift Diver certification specialty, you learn about:

-Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of drift diving
-An introduction to drift diving equipment -- floats, lines, reels
-Buoyancy-control, navigation and communication for drift diving
-Site selection and overview of aquatic currents
-Causes and effects
-Techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group

PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty
You have seen them before, those divers that glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover, almost as it is by thought. They interact gently with aquatic life and affect their surroundings minimally. Getting your buoyancy under control is the one skill that will make your dives so much more fun and relaxing. The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Spcialty helps you to do just that. It refines the basic skills you learned as PADI Open Water Diver and elevates them to the next level.

What are the prerequisites?:

-Minimum certification needed: PADI Open Water Diver Certificate (or qualifying certification from another training organization)

-Minimum age: 10 years old

Specialty Overview: In this one day specialty you will make two dives where you will learn to fine-tune your buoyancy skills. It will give your dive skills a polish you may not have thought possible.

What you will learn: How to trim your scuba gear so you're perfectly balanced in the water. Nuances in determining weight so you're not too light nor too heavy by even a little bit. How to streamline to save air and move smoothly through the water. How to hover effortlessly in both a vertical position and a horizontal position.

Before the start of the specialty you will review the peak performance buoyancy theory and will view the DVD.
